condition ,reasonable to poor ,caused by age and quality of wartime paper , browning paper and fold edges. some tares.


These newspaper were produced under the control of German forces. The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles occupied by Nazi power ,what happened there was going to happen in the whole of Britain if we lost the war. These newspapers slowly changed as the control got tighter and tighter , showing off German victories in the early years ,and hiding German problems in the later years ,this was the only source of information for the general public ,radio was made illegal. Also advised wartime instructions to the public from the governing powers.
