Geoffrey Abbott, now retired, was a Yeoman Warder of H.M.'s Tower of London and also a member of H.M.'s Bodyguard of the Yeoman of the Guard Extraordinary. He is now living in Cumbria, as Sword Bearer to the Mayor of Kendall. He has appeared in, and taken part in, numerous TV programmes in both the UK and America, dealing with London's ceremonial history, and the general topic of executions and mystery (of which he has written a large number of books on).
