The fur trade in the 1950s had not yet experienced the general public's reaction to clothing one's self in animal furs, and many of these companies were going to face hard times in the 60s/70s/80s when animals rights people attacked the fur trade. This is a series of photographs of Martin's opening a new showroom, and having a cocktail party with numerous members visiting, as well as photographs from a retirement party – scenes that are as far away from our modern society as scenes from Dickens' days. Approx. 60 photographs (8 x 6 inches).
