Subtitle: Beacon Brewery opened in 1981 in the former Oakhill Brewery buildings, which had been occupied since 1904 by the Oakhill Brewery (Part of Courage) and closed in 1938. Opened in 1981, Beacon Brewery began brewing the famous Fosseway 40 and Fosseway Stout until 1983 when the owner Gerry Watts died. After this, it reopened at the New Oakhill Brewery before moving in 1997.
