The change in the British Communist Party to the war against Hitler. Prior to the invasion of Russia (Barbarossa) and the USSR being brought into the war on Britain's side, the Communist party had a negative attitude to Britain's war against Hitler and even encouraged industrial strikes. After the invasion, the whole attitude changed, possibly due to directions from Moscow, they did everything to encourage war production: the supply of arms to the USSR, and the opening of a 2nd front to take off the pressure of the Germans on the USSR.
