Britain’s foreign aid budget

18th December 2016 By Les

At this season of giving one thinks of our fellow man , each year Britain spends 0.7% of it’s national income on foreign aid approx £12.2bn . We have a civil service handing out large sums of money to numerous charities , this in itself is a good thing , but with so much money who controls this distribution. It has lead to charities employing  experts to extract large aid sums ,paying high salaries to these individuals ranging upto £600,000+  . Large sums going in administration costs ,instead of providing aid . The whole system must be looked into ,so that aid flows to where it is needed and not into the pockets of these experts.
